But I am sick and tired of reading posts written by “leaders” bashing everyone else’s hustle.. I was guilty of this a few years ago because I was coming from a lack abundance and leads/sign ups weren’t flowing in my own business so I knew where you’re coming from guys..
Look, as long as you’re getting your money and paying your bills without punching a clock.. that’s all that matters!
People in MLM bashing forex.. people in forex (MLM’s mind you) are bashing old school MLM’s.. which by the way, have paved the way for you guys.. without the old school MLM’s standing the test of time, ya’ll wouldn’t be having the success your having right now..
I see affiliate marketers bashing 3-way calls or home meetings.. some of the same leaders who recruited ME many years ago… VIA a 3 way call!
Yes.. unbelievable.. I know.
I see old school home party networkers bashing online lead generation.. very misinformed.. if you’re gonna do home parties, at least document it.. stream it LIVE on FB so your entire network of 5k+ friends can watch it instead of the 5 people in your living room.. heck pull out your tablet and stream it live on Periscope/Google Hangout.. kill two birds with one stone, work smart not hard!
I love all of you… I don’t care if you’re selling information products, because I create & sell my own info products.. but do you see me bashing IM, Forex, Direct sales to move my books?
I don’t care if you’re doing MLM online or offline.. if you have to bash forex traders (whether they are doing it for the comp plan or the trading skills) to attempt to get people in your own opportunity, you should be ashamed…
…and to the Forex traders bashing MLM/affiliate marketing.. you probably never would have learned Forex or heard about it if you weren’t first introduced to network or affiliate marketing.. so cut the crap.. everyone goes from phase to phase.. physical product, back to a digital product that pays out more up front, then they check their residual in 90 days like oh f*ck nobody is ordering this anymore, guess I should jump back to lotions & potions again..
Why would you want to make yourself look like such hypocrites anyway?? You all will never hear me knock anybody’s hustle.. I may have a few years ago when I was building with losers.. but never again.. I have mad love and respect for anyone out here trying to break free from their job, send their kids to college, or retire their parents.. and if you have to knock how I do it, or how the next guy or gal does it.. that speaks volumes of your own insecurities and the lack of abundance flowing to you..
For years I left 💰💰 on the table… I’m sure I still do some days but I’m doing my best & focusing on what pays my bills each month and more.. 👌
The first few years after my book came out, I would always drive people to Barnes & Noble’s site because I thought that looked WAY cooler than Amazon.. Just being honest. 😂😂
Little did I know that the royalties were less on their site compared to Amazon, 😱😱 and Amazon takes care of re-targetting & a bunch of other cool stuff I’m not good at just by sending people there.. and when people buy it with other books it shows up as “frequently bought together” etc. which helps..
I didn’t know about this until I got a mentor.. I asked questions.. I read books on how to sell more books & increase margins.. heck I learned how to pay myself more than Amazon royalties pay me each month.. more on that in another post (or book?) 👀👀
Moral of the story is: learn from your mistakes, find a mentor, ask questions, read the books, surrender your ego, humble yourself, take notes, attend the events, invest in yourself, not just money but sweat equity too.. pull your calculators out, make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck my friends!
Don’t let your ego get in the way like I did.. go accomplish everything you’ve always dreamed of!

With Network Marketing I realized I could get 1 person that agreed with me on why I was doing what I was doing, and I could teach them by that example.

Look guys.. the world is hungry for friendship, relationship… an improved quality of life.. so w/network marketing, isn’t it interesting, people introducing people to the product via word of mouth, friends be getting friends.. and I see everyone in business with me as a friend.

Do you write amazing content, post sexy selfies, or upload epic videos to your Facebook, just to have your friends scroll right past it?
Now if you’re not a marketer then this post doesn’t really matter… if you’re just posting selfies/viral videos like everyone else on FB, guess what… you will be ignored!
Here are a few tips I’ve learned over the years to get more likes, comments, shares AKA eyeballs on your posts… if you’re a marketer and you are using to build awareness of your new book or product, you want all of your FB friends or fans to see EVERYTHING you post!
The first rule is pretty basic. If you don’t want people to ignore your posts, you can’t ignore their posts either! When you scroll your newsfeed, like and comment on relevant posts. If someone got a new job, started a business, got engaged, be engaging! (No pun intended lol) But if you want people to pay attention to your posts, pay attention to their posts.
Loosen up a bit. If you are talking to your Facebook friends in a tone that makes them feel like they are only a customer or client, they won’t respond to your posts. Use their first name, say “YOU” etc… but focus on the people not your product or service… use attraction to pull them to ask questions about your products.
Make new connections. If people are frequently engaging on your FB posts, you want them to continue engaging with you for year to come! I typically message them and say something simple like “Hey there just wanted to reach out & let you know I really appreciate you supporting my posts everyday.. looking forward to your future posts as well!” Just something simple like that to break the ice.
Use images that catch the eye, invest in graphic design for your photos and fliers. Use PicMonkey or similar sites/apps where you can add font. This is great to add quotes, your domain name, or edit the picture.
Ask your audience questions. This can be done thru private FB messages when you are getting to know a new FB friend. By asking questions, you learn what problems your target audience has. Then write an article like this, or record a video that solves your audiences problem. That is how you get paid! Solving problems. Bonus tip- Ask questions in a FB post.. this will obviously increase the amount of people who comment and engage. When people like/comment on your posts, they are more likely to see your next post.
Just remember what Gary V says, Jab Jab Jab, right hook… what he means by that is give, give, give… value, something for free, then hit them with the right hook (ask for sale)

When I first got the idea to bring my business online & release my 1st book a few yrs ago, I did what any networker would do & reached out to all the SEO gurus, web designers & Social Media experts in my space.
I put my ego aside to not only learn but freaking master these skills, only to be disappointed when they told me it’d take YEARS for search engines to pick up my articles/vlogs, they said the site I’d need would cost more than my budget, they said I’d never be able to have my book about MLM/affiliate marketing & grow a following within those niches on social media lol
With that being said.. I didn’t take their advice and just put my nose down into some books, free articles and resources & learned how to setup a blog, basic SEO to get the ball rolling, and starting posting on FB to promote my new content.. after doing this for a few yrs now I’ve learned a few things I’d like to share with you guys to hopefully save you time, energy, money.. all that.
1.) You can’t outsource the social media aspect.. you can’t delegate building relationships w/prospects, customers, and entrepreneurs on your team. Even if you’re not in MLM or affiliate marketing.. any business is always about relationships!
2.) They say be everywhere but I did it a little backwards.. I started w/ FB and built that up a good amount before I started using other outlets daily. Now I am driving friends from FB to follow me on IG, Twitter, blog, YouTube etc.. seriously don’t lose your mind trying to be active on every new app/site that pops up.. I like to have a life outside of my phone/computer so I ‘try’ to limit my use lately. What’s made this easier for me (common sense) was to upload the content from FB to blog/blog to FB, Instagram pic to FB/Twitter at same time.. kill 2 birds w/1 stone.
3.) Instead of always selling or advertise your product/service, switch it up.. people want to laugh, they want to learn.. so educate them.. inspire them.. get to know them.. I can’t explain it but just entertaining people, engaging w/them, giving them pointers etc. has always resulted in them getting back to me wanting info about my product.. #AttractionMarketing
People want to be entertained, feel good, be right, make better decisions, know things others don’t, stay in the loop, make $$$, save $$$, hear the latest gossip, and be part of the ‘in crowd’.
For social media to work you have to be entrepreneurial, creative, engaging and entertaining.
I’m not saying I’m a social media expert but this has been my main form of marketing, business & book sales over the past 5 years.. so I’ve seen what’s worked for myself and others and what hasn’t. I get inbox msgs everyday asking for help on social media.. how I got my book all over.. edgerank questions etc so with that:

Remember the ‘social’ in social media… it’s all about engaging with others.
Treating it like a pissing contest with your old sponsor, people who quit yo team, ex’s, or people in other companies doesn’t count as being social..
Instead just cheer your competitors on and get back to dominating!
Only post when you have something inspiring, important, or valuable to share w/everyone.. don’t just post to “get likes” or “generate a lead or sale” because people can smell desperation a mile away..
Remember folks: “People don’t care how much you know until they knows how much you care.” -So engage on their posts.. get to know them.. follow up w/them until you are blue in the face or they block you Lol..

People ask me how I stay so motivated when working from home or a big project online. I typically will start my day with a motivational video like the one you see above on the topics of personal development, self-help or motivation.
I recently signed up for a life long personal performance journey.
I am always investing in myself as far as furthering my education, and when I saw this program for the first time, I knew it was something very unique.
I immediately filled out the form and started diving into the videos and audios available inside the secret members area.

Unlike most marketers these days… no fear tactics needed here, just value.
Those on the outside will be looking in at us like:
“How do they turn profit with giving away ALL THAT FOR FREE?”
Gurus will hate us, leaders will lock arms & noobies will win here.

If that’s the case, latch on to what I am teaching here and start leading with value folks… it’s called ATTRACTION MARKETING for a reason!
If you just take the time to create some training courses and videos for your team, package it up into a HUGE product bundle that looks very valuable and expensive that they can’t get anywhere else, they will be happy to join your team because of the VALUE.

I go over some YouTube strategies, Facebook, as well as finding other network marketers on Google. I will be recording some other training videos for you guys where I call people who requested information on my business, as well as cold calling other network marketers I find on the internet.
I practice what I preach and would never tell you guys to do something that I am not comfortable doing… then again I am a freaking hustler and will call anybody from a Burger King employee to the top guy in Amway… they are all just another human on the other end of the telephone so I have no reason to be scared. Some people are afraid of cold calls and that is okay, I will teach you other ways to connect with people.

All I hear from this marketer and that marketer is listen to personal development audios/videos, and read related books. My question to you is how much do you REALLY invest into yourself though? Sure there are some great audio books available for free on YouTube, but what about that ‘next level’ stuff?
If you’ve read all the books your upline recommended, listened to all the audios and videos and attended every conference and webinar you could, but you’re still stuck in a rut or at that same income level, maybe its time to UP your personal development game!

I’m addicted to writing in a way that inspires and motivates people.
I’m addicted to helping single moms & dads make enough income online, that they can be stay at home parents. There’s not a better feeling in the world then getting a call from a parent in tears of joy that they were able to leave their job and spend all day w/ their kids.
I’m addicted to the peace of mind I have found, the freedom I have earned and the ability to design MY OWN lifestyle.
I remember a few years ago I was addicted to smoking cigarettes, I couldn’t kick the habit no matter how hard I tried. One day I said enough is enough… I’m TIRED of feeling like this.
I haven’t smoked a cigarette since that day. It’s truly mind over matter, period.
What I have done, is replaced the urge to smoke with productive activities. Anytime I think about smoking again, I pick up the phone and call a lead, write a blog or record a video, anything productive that will keep me busy to shift my thoughts.
If you tell yourself you can’t quit smoking (or whatever your addiction is) you’re right.
If you tell yourself YOU CAN quit, guess what? You’re right 🙂

There are so many big brands out there nowadays it is hard to get noticed as a new business owner.
As an author and online marketer, I have it much easier… because I am just building my brand: The Joe Stewart brand.
Hmm that has a ring to it… maybe I’ll pick up the guitar again and start the Joe Stewart Band? Lol.
Anyways, I am not out there trying to compete with Apple or other massive companies… I compete with non-fiction authors in my niche, and other online marketers who usually make themselves look like dingbats anyway with bogus claims, and make my job really, REALLY easy.
So how did I get my brand started when I was flat broke? I started this blog in 2012 for like $18, and started writing company reviews and marketing training. Success from this blog didn’t come fast, it took consistent posting for a 90 day+ period so if you think blogging will get you hundreds of leads a day fast think again… it takes a lot of time, energy and passion.
After publishing 100+ something blog posts I was like well now what do I do? I had also recorded and uploaded 50 or so videos on YouTube with links in the description to capture pages, my blog, as well as my phone number and email at the time. Again, success with these videos didn’t come overnight, it took months to start getting free traffic and free leads!
At this point I was at a stand still in a business.
My team was cranking out multiple 6 figures per year in our business and everything was good, but we just couldn’t seem to get to that next level. I was reading a blog post on branding by the founder of Empower Network David Wood, and on that post he talks about everything that I was doing at the time such as my official blog, YouTube videos, PPC, media buys and social media of course… but no matter how much content I put out or advertising dollars I spent, my income was at a stand still.
If you continue reading that post I linked to about branding by David Wood, you would know that his recommendation to take your brand to the next level was writing a book… a physical book, not an e-book or PLR garbage. He used the example of Timothy Ferriss, the author of the Four Hour Workweek and other best selling books. Think about it, the people in bookstores will never find your blog, click your ugly banner ad, or find you online. They may however, find your paperback book in Barnes and Noble and hunt you down to join your team… it’s happened for me so it can happen for you too if you take action.
So after taking a few months off from the industry, I read hundreds of books about networking, marketing, among other stuff related to our niche, I went to every seminar I could and paid the best consultants to teach me how they were making 6-7 figures per month hand over fist.
With all this new found knowledge in my head, I applied everything that I had learned. I found out which strategies worked for me personally in my business, and which ones did not. I also took into effect what was duplicating for my team, and what tactics only veteran marketers could do vs someone brand new.
After testing and tweaking everything for months, I had a little system in place that worked very well for me and my team. I finally sat down in 2012 and wrote my first book which tells my story and explains my whole digital real estate system called ‘Create Your Own Economy.’
This is when my brand went to a whole new level!
Radio shows started contacting me by email and phone, top network and online marketers, you name it… I was literally attracting my ideal business partners into my life each and every day.
I’ve hung out with the owner of Salt Life many times, been featured on quite a few radio shows and news websites as well as been invited to do book signings at bookstores and coffee shops across the USA. I don’t say all of this to brag because I still have a longgggg way to go, but I am just showing you what is possible when you take the time to build a solid brand.
Some people don’t realize that its as easy as going on Fiverr.com and having some professional graphic design done for your Facebook and website. This is the start of building a good looking brand, without having to be a guru or expert in the industry… (yet.)
Just be sure to constantly be growing yourself. What I mean is read daily for 30 minutes or more, something positive like personal development etc. Listen to some audios by peak performance trainers inside your specific industry, so this way you have tons of knowledge and leadership to be able to offer your marketplace and your potential customers. If you can’t help your prospects get to where THEY want to go in life, they have no reason to buy anything from you… period.
